Where automotive customers leave reviews
Car buyers research before they walk in, and dealership reviews frequently name the individual salesperson. That specificity is unusual and it is the most persuasive thing about them.
Two US platforms cover this, and most dealerships have profiles on both.
| Platform | Who uses it | Worth your attention if |
|---|---|---|
| DealerRater | Car buyers checking a dealership | You are a US dealership |
| Edmunds | Buyers researching before visiting | Same audience, different review set |
Which of these to actually bother with
Put these on the team page as well as the homepage. A review naming a salesperson, shown next to that salesperson, does something no rating can.
Both sets differ, so adding both is worth doing rather than picking one.
Why one platform is not enough on your own site
Your rating on the biggest platform is what search shows. Your website is where someone decides. Those are different moments, and the second is helped by breadth — reviews from three sources read as harder to fabricate than the same number from one.
One widget takes all of these plus 60-odd more, up to 100 sources, with tabs if you want visitors to filter. Browse all 71.
If you want it pre-configured
The car dealers page comes set up with the sources that matter for this trade, and with the placement advice that goes with it.
