Most review tools for Squarespace handle one platform, or only reviews left on the site itself. That stops being enough the moment your reputation lives somewhere else too — and for most businesses it does.

On commerce plans Squarespace has product reviews for things you sell. They do not cover reviews left anywhere outside the store.

If that covers what you need, use it. This is for the case where your reviews are spread across platforms your site cannot see.

Code blocks do not always render in the editor preview, depending on the template. Save and look at the live page before concluding it is broken — this catches out almost everyone once.

Full-width sections suit carousel and grid layouts; sidebars and narrow columns suit a badge. Floating badges can be restricted to particular pages and to desktop or mobile.

The widget outputs review schema markup automatically. Whether Google shows a star rating depends on what the reviews are attached to — worth reading before you expect stars, because for a business reviewing itself the answer is usually no.

What does help either way: reviews on the page are content, and a page that answers what customers actually say is a page people stay on.
