Adding a review source

Most sources connect by pasting a link to your public profile on that platform.

The short answer

Most sources connect by pasting a link to your public profile on that platform. The link format is specific to each source, and getting it wrong is the single most common reason a setup fails in the first five minutes.

Fifteen of the 71 sources are added by hand instead, because those platforms have no public link the widget can read.

The three ways a source connects

A direct link — paste your profile, shop, listing or product URL and the widget collects from it. This covers 56 sources.

Google specifically — business name, business name with address, a maps.app.goo.gl share link, or a Place ID. An address on its own will not work, and share.google links are not supported.

By hand — Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Apple Podcasts, Checkatrade, Feefo, Fresha, GetYourGuide, Nextdoor, RateMyAgent, Realtor.com, Shopify store reviews, StreetEasy, TourRadar and Custom. You enter the review text, rating, name and date yourself.

SourceAccepts
Amazon.com, .ca, .com.au, .co.jp, .co.uk, .de, .es, .fr, .in, .it
Booking.comThe Share link (Share → Copy Link), not the address-bar URL
Hotels.com.com with any country prefix removed — uk.hotels.com will not work
TheFork.com only, and only English-language reviews are collected
GoodreadsBook pages only, not author pages
BBB.org links only
Etsy, eBay, Facebook, Yelp, Airbnb, AliExpress.com links only

The traps worth knowing before you start

Several sources accept only specific domains, and the failure is silent — the widget simply finds nothing.

Google can’t find my business

There are three ways to connect a Google source: business name, business name together with the address, or a Google Place ID.
