Review rating calculator
What it does
Enter your current rating and review count, and the tool shows how many new reviews at a given rating it takes to reach a target average.
Why it helps
The arithmetic surprises people. A business at 3.9 from 200 reviews needs a great many five-star reviews to reach 4.5, and knowing that before starting changes the plan from “fix the rating” to “fix the thing causing the rating”.
It also shows the opposite, and more cheerful, case: at 4.6 from 30 reviews, a couple of bad ones barely move you.
Where to use it
Before a review campaign, to set an honest target. And after a run of poor reviews, to work out whether the panic is proportionate.
And then show the reviews you collect
Collecting reviews is half of it. The other half is putting them where buyers are deciding, which is your own site rather than a listing they may never open. A reviews widget does that part, and there is a free plan.
